  1. Students can choose any English movie monologue they wish or select any of the monologues from this list. There is no word limit to the speech but the presentation should last for about 3 minutes on average. It should not be under 2 minutes or over 4 minutes or the presenter will be penalized. The presenter will also be penalized if they speak in the same manner as in the movie. Students will need to show their own interpretation of the monologue.
  2. Please do not copy the original performance exactly - try to show your own interpretation.
  3. Please submit the following to lcevents@hkbu.eduu.hk:
    • A pre-recorded video monologue performance using Zoom
    • The script
    • Your personal data, including your name, student ID and contact phone number.
Please follow the email subject: English Speaking Contest + Student no. + Student Name + Topic
