Language Exchange & Sponsorship Programmes
Semester 1, 2026-27 · For students who want to practise languages
| Language Exchange Programme | Exchange/international students learn Cantonese or Putonghua; local/mainland students practise English or another foreign language with a partner/group. Meet at a time that suits you best; make new friends and understand more about their cultures. Meet your partner/group at least 6 times during the semester for a certificate of completion. |

| LEP Sponsorship Scheme | A paid work opportunity to organise language enhancement activities in English, Chinese (Cantonese, Putonghua/Mandarin) and/or Foreign Languages (French, German, Spanish, Japanese, Korean). The LC provides funding and logistical expertise; organisers are paid the student helper rate. UGC-funded individuals or groups welcome. |

Courses/workshops are open to UGC-funded undergraduate and postgraduate degree students as stipulated by the UGC. Classes may be cancelled due to insufficient enrollment.
