Details
Impromptu Speech
- Contestants will select a topic for their speech by drawing a question from a pool of questions prepared by the Coordinator of the Speaking Contest.
- Questions will be related to current events.
- No two contestants will speak on the same topic in the same year.
- Each contestant will be given five minutes to prepare before they deliver a speech.
- Each speech will be timed and is expected to be between 3 to 4 minutes.
- Contestant order will be determined by a random drawing at the time of the Contest.
Award ceremony and Public lecture

Remarks
- All HKBU UGC-Funded full-time students who are not native speakers of English are eligible to join.
